Take the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Challenge!
Our library is participating in the 1000 Books Before Kindergarten Program. This is a free program to encourage you to read to the little ones in your life. (Yes you can repeat books!) Participation is simple: 1. Read to your children who are between the ages of birth and the start of kindergarten and 2. Record the books you read on a reading log. This simple idea can have a lifetime of reward for your child. Stop in to the library and ask Miss Lauren, or visit 1000booksbeforekindergarten.org if you have any questions about how to get started.
Printable Book Logs are located here.
Here is a list of the 100 books your child should hear before kindergarten.
Teens and Tweens ages 10 and up: Come check out Making Stuff at the library every other Tuesday at 3:30 pm starting January 6th.
